when he was in New York but I was on a
car so did not get a chance to Speak to him

All three of these letters are inconsequential, except to illustrate that
George Taylor (the Taylor of Taylor & Taube) is very affluent. New York's finest
surgeon operated on his wife's nose; during 1903 his family lived in the city's
best hotel; etc. By contast, however, his brother "Hugh (was) well & in the
same old position-steady as a rock, but wants 'Go'." (Letter /6)
