Well Kelleher I met your girl
when she was rooming in 76 St
she
asked me over to her room I went with
her I though(t) I was good for peace of
hide but the Lynch girl was with
her no puss that night she said she was
going to take apt and asked me if I
would go with her

Well I said I may later on she took
my adress a week later I had a letter
from her to come to see her to her
apart--it is 253 E 68 S apt. 2.C She got
a nice apt. Well then she wanted me
to come rooming to her I had no job
and wanted to get started at some thing
before making any changes Well she
gave me a letter to a woman
supervisor at (L?) enoshill Hospital
I got a night Job their 36 dollars
a month living in. it was no good
they was no tips on the Job
so I was out of a peace of tail as I could

not go rooming to her. but I made her
believe I would go rooming to her if it
was possipal (sic), so as I could get my hide
when I wanted it. Well I got their any way
and pretty hot stuff I was all night with her
fuccing away like hell in the morning
I was like a dog without a tail pains
all over, but she was whistling for more
I heard a lot about her but I could not
belive it a(nd) yet she is very good
natured she dont drink any more
she is off all stuff--except screwing
but she is not a wh(o)re by no means

Tim Lyons writes to John Kelleher expressing his sadness of the latter's return home and asks his old friend to assure his family that he is not on the breadline in New York. Lyons shares intimate details of his relationships with mutual female friends with Kelleher and gives news of accquaintances. He asks Kelleher to write back and wishes him well. [Letter is poorly but colourfully written].
